So you’ve selected your venue and you’re still talking, wonderful! You’ve survived step one of your planning journey.

Once you’ve selected the venue and secured your ceremony location, it’s on to the other vendors like entertainment and photography. They’ll be the next most difficult to secure. Beware of the “friend of the friend” deals. If we can offer you any advice, let it be this, Entertainment will make or break your day! Your wedding reception is a very special, not to mention expensive gathering. This is not an area to skimp on. You truly need the experience and guidance of a real wedding professional. The DJ/Band leader’s job is more than just playing the right music at the right times, but also having the knowledge of the wedding formalities, timing and being the Emcee of your event.
Photography is another area of importance. Anyone can take a picture, but only a true wedding professional, an artist really, can capture the story behind the photo. You’ll have these photos for a lifetime and beyond so you want them to be special. Be sure to compare the works of a few photographers until you find the one whose work speaks to you!
Just like with the venue selection process, it takes time and patience to find the perfect vendors to complete your wedding team, but you will!
Once these professionals are in place, life gets easier. Just keep your sense of humor till then!
