It's holiday time! The kids are home from school, you're on vacation from work, and extended family is visiting. What a great time to really experience the city of Boston. Our beautiful Bean Town is spectacular during the winter holidays with its gleaming lights, charming decorations, and seasonal festivities. Here are some of our favorite things to do in and around Boston this 2018 holiday season.
Get in the spirit of the season with a seat at the Holiday Pops concert. Enjoy a joyous performance filled with favorite holiday music. It's a fun-filled, spirited 2-hour show that runs through December 24th. Got kids? There's also a shorter 75-minute kids' matinee with a post-show Santa photo opportunity.
See Dazzling Holiday Lights and Ice Skate in Boston Common
Be mesmerized by the twinkling 46-foot white spruce tree and other festive decorations in Boston Common. While you're there, lace up some rented ice skates and glide around the Frog Pond.
Excite the Kids with a Disney Show
Take your kids to experience the wonder of Disney On Ice as it celebrates 100 Years of Magic. Performances run December 21st through December 30th at Boston University's Agganis Arena.
Be Captivated by Boston Ballet's Nutcracker
Encounter the mystery and magic of this holiday classic performance. Boston Ballet's Nutcracker takes place at the Boston Opera House and runs until December 30th.
Enjoy a Historic Holiday Stroll
Get the inside scoop on Boston's history with a 1-mile guided walk along the Freedom Trail. During the 90-minute stroll, you can discover how Boston's holiday traditions began and evolved. The tour runs on select Thursdays and Sundays through January, 2019.

After a day of shopping, rest your feet, come in from the cold, and treat yourself to a relaxing experience at Mandarin Oriental Boston Enjoy tea, champagne, and petit fours. Visit the MFA with the Whole Family
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is the city's oldest and largest art institution, and highly respected throughout the world. Now is a great opportunity to enjoy the museum and participate in the art activities they're hosting just for children. The program will during December Vacation Week and the activities are free with museum admission.
Start Your New Year's Eve Celebration with Venezia
