Our beautiful Bean Town is spectacular during the winter holidays with its gleaming lights, charming decorations, and seasonal festivities. Get in the spirit of the season with a seat at the Holiday Pops concert. Enjoy a joyous performance filled with favorite holiday music. It's a fun-filled, spirited 2-hour show that runs through December. Got kids? There's also a shorter 75-minute kids' matinee with a post-show Santa photo opportunity.
See Dazzling Holiday Lights and Ice Skate in Boston Common
Be mesmerized by the twinkling 46-foot white spruce tree and other festive decorations in Boston Common. While you're there, lace up some rented ice skates and glide around the Frog Pond.
Excite the Kids with a Disney Show
Take your kids to experience the wonder of Disney On Ice as it celebrates 100 Years of Magic. Performances run December 20th through December 29th at Boston University's Agganis Arena.
Be Captivated by Boston Ballet's Nutcracker
Encounter the mystery and magic of this holiday classic performance. Boston Ballet's Nutcracker takes place at the Boston Opera House and runs until December 29th.
Enjoy a Historic Holiday Stroll
Get the inside scoop on Boston's history with a 1-mile guided walk along the Freedom Trail. During the 90-minute stroll, you can discover how Boston's holiday traditions began and evolved. The tour runs on select Thursdays and Sundays through January, 2019.
Santa's Workshop Afternoon Tea
This holiday season bring your family to the Lobby Lounge to experience our Santa’s Workshop Afternoon Tea. Children will enjoy crafts and weekend singalongs while parents savour champagne, aromatic teas, savoury bites and sweet treats. Santa will make appearances for family photo opportunities on Saturdays and a children’s tea menu will be available. The hotel also encourages attendees to bring a toy or game to donate to its charity partner, Franciscan Children’s. Guests who bring a donation will enjoy a decadent chocolate fountain bar in addition to their Afternoon Tea.
Visit the MFA with the Whole Family
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is the city's oldest and largest art institution, and highly respected throughout the world. Now is a great opportunity to enjoy the museum and participate in the art activities they're hosting just for children. The program will during December Vacation Week and the activities are free with museum admission.
