Easter is one of our favorite holidays because it celebrates rebirth and new beginnings. The holiday is April 21st this year, and hopefully, the spring day will be warm and filled with blooming flowers. If you're hosting Easter, we'd like to share our favorite foods and decorating tips with you.

Dress Up Your Dining Table
Setting your table for Easter can be fun with a bright and colorful palette to celebrate the season. We like to use fresh blooms such as tulips in our tablescape. Dyed or painted Easter eggs can add a playful touch. We love the image in the top left of the photo above that uses an egg carton in the centerpiece filled with gorgeous eggs. Placing decorated eggs on a cake stand is a simple but eye-catching statement.

Begin with Sweet Easter Bread
Many cultures enjoy special bread at Easter. Italians have the sweet and rich Easter bread, Pane Di Pasqua. Though they don't originate in Italy, hot cross buns, babka, and coffee cake are all excellent choices for Easter brunch. You can also make bunny-shaped biscuits with cookie cutters as pictured above; serve them with butter and jam.

Present the Main Dish
Ham and lamb are traditional main dishes served at Easter. This Tangerine-Glazed Ham from Tyler Florence has a five-star rating on the Food Network, and it looks amazing. Although this impressive Garlic-Crusted Rack of Lamb from Food & Wine seems difficult, it only takes 10 minutes to prepare (plus cooking and resting time). If you're hosting someone who enjoys vegetarian cuisine, try this Asparagus Fettuccine brightened with lemon—a dish that can delight everyone at your table.

Drink Easter Candy Cocktails
With Easter-themed cocktails, adults can enjoy Easter candy as much as the kids. SheKnows features recipes for a jelly bean martini made with champagne and a Marshmallow Peeps martini. We had fun topping our marshmallow martini with a bright pink candy chick.

Serve Fun Desserts
Carrot cake is perfect for Easter, but the sweet possibilities for the holiday are endless. Bake cookies with mini candy eggs or decorate cakes and cupcakes with chocolate bunnies or jelly beans. You can also order pastel-colored macarons from your favorite bakery.
